The Mini World Cup Research Project was founded in 2002 by Ricardo Arbelaez, since 2002 he has undertaken personal research in order to raise awareness and cultural understanding among the local communities in Cambridgeshire and explore some elements of social integration using sports as part of the delivery mechanism.
The papers displayed below are the products of this research, the outcomes of which may help to lay the foundations for future initiatives to address social inclusion and integration at regional level; to empower the local communities,
so they themselves will be able to formulate and develop future development within their society. Every region within
the county will have different local issues which only apply to those areas and the local communities that live in them,
but we hope that lessons can be learned in order to build a bigger picture of the sports and multicultural needs of the
county.
